Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Lead Business Analyst to provide expertise in business and functional analysis for software development projects in Unemployment Insurance programs or other regulated government sectors. This role involves gathering and documenting requirements, developing use cases, and ensuring the seamless alignment of project objectives with business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct business and functional analysis for software development projects, ensuring compliance with Unemployment Insurance program requirements or other regulated workflows.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
• Develop functionality and create detailed use cases and business requirement documents to support project objectives.
• Serve as the liaison between technical teams and business units to ensure clear communication of requirements and deliverables.
• Lead the analysis phase on system development projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory standards.
• Provide oversight and support during system implementation and testing phases, addressing any discrepancies in requirements or functionality.
• Ensure that all project documentation is accurate, comprehensive, and adheres to organizational and regulatory standards.

Minimum Skills and Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience on a system development project.
• 5 years of experience in business and functional analysis within Unemployment Insurance programs or other regulated and audited government sectors involving workflows for tax calculations and direct-to-user payments.
• 2 years of experience developing functionality, detailed use cases, and business requirement documents.
• Experience working on 1 or more system development projects in a business analyst role.
• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in a relevant field (please specify college name and degree earned).
