Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Java Developer to drive the design, development, and implementation of Java-based web applications for projects in Unemployment Insurance programs or other regulated government sectors. The role demands technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a solid understanding of workflow-based business models.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, write, test, debug, and document front-end user interface code using JSPs and Bootstrap for Java-based web applications.
• Develop server-side code utilizing Java, J2EE, and Spring frameworks, ensuring scalability and performance.
• Architect, implement, and maintain Microservices, RESTful APIs, and Containers to support application functionality.
• Lead a team of developers, providing guidance, resource management, and progress updates to senior technical and business stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business requirements and project objectives.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards for Unemployment Insurance programs or other government workflows involving tax calculations and direct-to-user payments.
• Utilize and enforce best practices for secure, maintainable, and efficient code development.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and decision-making, leveraging certifications in Java and Enterprise Cloud Architecture.

Minimum Skills and Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience designing, writing, testing, debugging, and documenting front-end user interface code for Java-based web applications using JSPs and Bootstrap.
• 3+ years of experience designing, writing, testing, debugging, and documenting server-side code in Java, J2EE, and Spring.
• 2+ years of experience designing, writing, testing, debugging, and documenting code for Microservices, RESTful APIs, and Containers.
• 5 years of experience as a developer in Unemployment Insurance programs or other regulated government sectors involving workflows for tax calculations and direct-to-user payments.
• 2+ years of experience as a lead developer working with other developers and communicating with senior technical and business team members regarding business requirements, resource management, and project progress.
• Java and Enterprise Cloud Architecture certifications.
• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in a relevant field (please specify college name and degree earned).
